Ce grand passionn\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9difice nous a retrac\u00e9 l\u2019histoire des lieux de culte sur l\u2019emplacement de la cath\u00e9drale actuelle depuis les premiers chr\u00e9tiens et l\u2019oratoire Saint-\u00c9tienne, les diff\u00e9rentes restaurations entreprises, sp\u00e9cialement durant la premi\u00e8re annexion.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, nous avons pu admirer la superficie exceptionnelle des vitraux anciens et modernes qui valent \u00e0 la cath\u00e9drale d\u2019\u00eatre surnomm\u00e9e La lanterne du Bon Dieu.<\/p>\n<p>Nous avons particuli\u00e8rement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 les explications fournies sur\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>la grande verri\u00e8re de Notre-Dame la Ronde\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les quatre piliers ronds de Notre-Dame la Ronde\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les vitraux de Bissi\u00e8re de 1960 sous les portails des tours de la Mutte et du Chapitre\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>la chapelle du Saint-Sacrement et ses vitraux de Jacques\u00a0Villon de 1957\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>l\u2019orgue suspendu de Jehan de Verdun\u00a0-1537\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les vitraux de valentin Bousch du XVIe\u00a0si\u00e8cle\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les vitraux de Chagall de 1960 \u00e0 1970\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les vitraux lumineux de l\u2019artiste cor\u00e9enne Kimsooja\u00a0-2020\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>le si\u00e8ge \u00e9piscopal taill\u00e9 dans une colonne en marbre Cipolin datant de l\u2019\u00e9poque romaine\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les stalles du menuisier alsacien Th\u00e9ophile\u00a0Klem\u00a0-1914\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>le nouveau mobilier liturgique et ses \u00e9l\u00e9ments en bronze\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>le buste de Bossuet, chanoine de la cath\u00e9drale de 1641 \u00e0 1669\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les explications sur les tours qui ne sont pas implant\u00e9es en fa\u00e7ade contrairement aux autres cath\u00e9drales ce qui faisait dire au po\u00e8te Verlaine que la cath\u00e9drale \u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0bizarre\u00a0\u00bb\u202f;<\/li>\n<li>les sacristies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Et tant d\u2019autres d\u00e9tails et anecdotes passionnantes racont\u00e9s par le chanoine Thiry qui a passionn\u00e9 son auditoire et que nous remercions chaleureusement.<\/p>\n<div id=\"metaslider-id-10937\" style=\"width: 100%;\" class=\"ml-slider-3-109-0 metaslider metaslider-flex metaslider-10937 ml-slider has-dots-nav ms-theme-default-base\" role=\"region\" aria-label=\"Visite cath\u00e9drale\" data-height=\"600\" data-width=\"600\">\n    <div id=\"metaslider_container_10937\">\n        <div id=\"metaslider_10937\">\n            <ul aria-live='polite' class='slides'>\n                <li style=\"display: block;
