{"id":1869,"date":"2017-08-12T08:59:03","date_gmt":"2017-08-12T06:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lorrylesmetz-histoire.fr\/?page_id=1869"},"modified":"2017-08-19T08:08:41","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T06:08:41","slug":"a-03","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/lorrylesmetz-histoire.fr\/?page_id=1869","title":{"rendered":"Visite de l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Maximin de Thionville"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>22\u00a0mai\u00a02015<\/h2>\n<p>Vingt-deux passionn\u00e9s de Lorry-l\u00e8s-Metz \u00ab\u00a0au fil du Temps\u00a0\u00bb ont \u00e9t\u00e9 visiter l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint Maximin de Thionville sous la conduite de Madame-Antoinette\u00a0Kuhn, Titulaire d\u2019un doctorat de 3e\u00a0cycle en histoire de l\u2019art et membre titulaire de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie nationale de Metz.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9glise originelle aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9rig\u00e9e au XII<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0si\u00e8cle dans l\u2019actuelle rue Br\u00fbl\u00e9e, puis reconstruite \u00e0 son emplacement actuel apr\u00e8s l\u2019incendie de 149. Vers 1730, la ville envisagea la reconstruction de cette \u00e9glise qui ne pouvait plus accueillir qu\u2019un sixi\u00e8me des paroissiens. 1756 les travaux furent entrepris selon le plan de l\u2019architecte messin Le Brun\u00a0; la ville dut s\u2019endetter pour les payer. Consacr\u00e9e en 1760, l\u2019\u00e9glise ne subit gu\u00e8re de modifications jusqu\u2019en 1870. Fortement endommag\u00e9e par les bombardements du si\u00e8ge, elle dut \u00eatre restaur\u00e9e puis reconsacr\u00e9e en 1883. Une grande sacristie cruciforme fut alors ajout\u00e9e dans l\u2019axe du chevet.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Maximin poss\u00e9dait un orgue d\u00e8s le XVI<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0si\u00e8cle dont il ne subsiste aucune trace.<\/p>\n<p>Des orgues diff\u00e9rentes se succ\u00e9d\u00e8rent les unes apr\u00e8s les autres, voire bricol\u00e9es avec des ajouts d\u2019autres instruments comme les d\u00e9bris de l\u2019orgue de l\u2019abbaye Saint-Cl\u00e9ment de Metz.<\/p>\n<p>Concernant l\u2019instrument actuel, tout au long du XIX<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0si\u00e8cle et jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019aube du XX<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0si\u00e8cle, ce bel instrument classique connut une longue s\u00e9rie d\u2019interventions qui en modifi\u00e8rent l\u2019esth\u00e9tique\u00a0: positionnement diff\u00e9rent de la console, d\u00e9placement de jeux, remplacement des sculptures, troph\u00e9es de musique et autres ornements disparus \u00e0 la suite des \u00e9v\u00e8nements de 1870.<\/p>\n<p>En 1912, sera install\u00e9e une soufflerie \u00e9lectrique, puis un syst\u00e8me de transmission pneumatique. \u00c0 bout de souffle, \u00e9puis\u00e9 par trop de mises au go\u00fbt du jour, l\u2019orgue de Saint-Maximin appelant une restauration. Des experts, tel que Michel\u00a0Chapuis, se pench\u00e8rent sur le sujet et, en 1969, le ma\u00eetre facteur d\u2019orgues Alfred\u00a0Kern de Strasbourg reconstitua magnifiquement la composition de l\u2019orgue selon l\u2019esth\u00e9tique du XVII<sup>e<\/sup>\u00a0si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019orgue de Thionville est un exemple de synth\u00e8se classique o\u00f9 se retrouvent \u00e0 la fois des \u00e9l\u00e9ments de l\u2019orgue fran\u00e7ais\u00a0: pleins-jeux et jeux d\u2019anche du grand-orgue et de l\u2019orgue d\u2019Allemagne du Nord. L\u2019orgue comporte 4\u00a0500\u00a0tuyaux r\u00e9partis sur trois claviers de 56 \u00a0otes, un p\u00e9dalier de 30\u00a0notes et 44\u00a0jeux.<\/p>\n<div id=\"metaslider-id-2931\"
