La premi\u00e8re \u00e9glise, \u00e9difi\u00e9e vers 820, est cit\u00e9e dans le Cartulaire de Gorze. Reconstruite vers 1240 dans le style gothique, elle est une des plus anciennes \u00e9glises de Metz. Elle affiche le vitrail le plus ancien de Lorraine, crucifixion (croix verte) dat\u00e9e autour des ann\u00e9es 1170. Suivant l\u2019\u00e9volution des styles au cours des si\u00e8cles, elle est remani\u00e9e par un architecte allemand pendant l\u2019Annexion. Sa porte de bronze est d\u2019Eug\u00e8ne\u00a0Vallin, nanc\u00e9en. Les peintures int\u00e9rieures sont de Jean\u00a0Engel, mosellan.<\/p>\n<p>On peut y voir des vitraux de Laurent\u00a0Mar\u00e9chal et d\u2019Arthur\u00a0Schouler.
